How We Are Serving Our Patients During the COVID-19 Pandemic:
In light of the spread of COVID-19, also referred to as coronavirus, Greenspan Optometric has had to make major changes to our process and procedures to ensure the health and safety of our staff and patients, while continuing to do our best to provide necessary care to the members of our community. For a number of weeks, we were closed to the public in order to obtain the proper safety equipment and prepare our facility for a safe reopening.
As of May 20th, 2020, we have reopened our practice for routine eye care visits, with new procedures and restrictions in place to ensure the safety of our staff and patients.
What to expect when scheduling and arriving for your appointment:
-
All patients are required to wear masks or cloth face coverings that cover the mouth and nose at all times while in the building. You will not be allowed in the building without a face covering.
-
All staff and Doctors are also required to wear masks at all times while in any public area of the building.
-
At this time, we will be seeing patients by appointment only, and are not able to accept walkins. It is also essential that you are on time for your appointment, as we have very limited appointment slots. If you are late for your appointment, you will be rescheduled, possibly days or weeks in the future due to high demand.
-
Our inner doors will remain locked, and patients will be asked to sign in and wait in their car to be called and brought into the building for their appointment. This is in order to ensure proper social distancing by limiting the number of patients in the building at a time.
-
Staff, doctors, and patients are required to practice social distancing. We've adjusted our check-in and waiting room procedures to ensure patients have minimal contact with each other during their visit.
-
Plexiglass protective sheeting has been installed in our waiting area to minimize contact during checkout.
-
As always, all equipment and surfaces are cleaned and disinfected in between patients, and frequent hand-washing / sanitization is required of staff and patients.
